Tips for Baltimore Residents

  • Look up your specific collection schedule online using your address. Do not rely on blanket schedules.

  • Note which yard waste schedule you are on in the county to properly set out yard materials.

  • Mark your calendar for holiday collection date changes. Trash and recycling pickup moves one day later anytime there is a holiday.

  • Follow biweekly recycling schedules carefully. Recycling is now every other week throughout Baltimore.

  • Review recycling guidelines – no plastic bags allowed. Use your provided recycling cart whenever possible.

  • Drop-off recycling at supplement centers if you miss your curbside pickup week.

  • Contact your collection provider directly if you have any additional questions or do not see your address listed online.

Other Collection Resources

Properly sorting trash, recycling, and yard waste according to local guidelines is important for public health, environmental sustainability, and keeping collection programs running smoothly. Always refer to official schedules and double check dates if a holiday occurs. Baltimore’s city and county waste providers offer extensive resources online to find your custom schedule.
